Commercial & Corporate
Advice on company matters, transactions, governance, and the day-to-day legal questions that arise as an organisation grows and changes.
Proposed scopeLaw Firm · Private Clients & Business
lotivano advises individuals and organisations who value measured judgement over noise. We focus on thoughtful advice, discretion, and lawful representation — so that the people we serve can make decisions with confidence.
The Firm
lotivano works alongside private clients and businesses on matters where the stakes are real and the right answer is rarely the loudest one. Our role is to understand each client's circumstances, explain the available options in plain terms, and represent their interests lawfully and responsibly.
We believe good counsel is a conversation, not a pronouncement. We listen first, frame the legal and commercial questions honestly, and give advice we would be comfortable relying on ourselves.

The areas below describe the kinds of matters lotivano is oriented toward. They set out the intended scope of the firm's work and the way we think about each field.

Contact UsOur Approach
Our method is deliberately unhurried where it matters. Good outcomes usually follow from a small number of disciplines, applied consistently.
We take time to understand the facts and the law before we advise. We would rather ask one more question than give a confident answer to the wrong problem.
We explain positions, risks, and options in language our clients can act on — and we are candid about uncertainty rather than papering over it.
We treat client information with discretion, subject to the professional and legal duties that apply to us. Where the law requires disclosure, we handle it responsibly and narrowly.
No two clients are identical. We tailor our advice to each client's objectives, constraints, and appetite for risk rather than reaching for a template.
Engagement
Before any representation begins, we follow a simple, transparent process. It protects both the client and the firm, and it means expectations are settled in writing from the start.
You get in touch with a short description of the matter. No confidential detail is required at this stage.
We check for conflicts of interest and confirm that the firm is able to consider acting before any substantive discussion.
We discuss the matter, assess whether and how we can assist, and outline the likely scope, approach, and basis of fees.
If we proceed, representation begins only once a written engagement agreement is signed. That document governs the work.
Contacting the firm, or the firm's response to an inquiry, does not by itself create an attorney–client relationship or commit the firm to act. See the notice beside the contact section below.
